Activity Description

Campsites may at times receive requests from individuals wanting to donate to the movement. This needs to be treated separately from general income, but can still be processed through the CheckFront system


The follow outlines two methods for accepting donations at campsites:


  1. Process to accept a donation at time of booking 
  2. Process to accept a standalone donation, or a donation associated with an existing booking.

Process to accept a donation at time of booking

If a customer wishes to donate at the same time as making a booking, before the booking is finalized, first click on the “+ Add to Booking” button

In the Category drop down box select “General”

Select “Donation”

In the Qty field adjust to represent. Unfortunately through this method we can only accept whole dollar amounts.

The Donation will now be listed in the booking

Finalize the booking just like any other booking

Take the payment, and change the booking status to “Paid”

Process to accept a standalone donation, or a donation associated with an existing booking.

Important: once an order has been paid for you cannot add any additional items in the CheckFront system


If a customer comes up and wishes to make a standalone donation or add this to an existing booking which has already been paid for, it is safer to enter as a completely new booking.


In the Booking Menu, select “New Booking”
