Bushwalking Tracked Safe Participant (SP)

To help provide clarity about how Adult Leaders, Rover Scouts and Venturer Scouts can obtain AA skills to support engagement in and delivery of the Youth Program, documented training pathways for each pursuit area have been created.  

Due to the popularity of bushwalking, we have separated content. 
Any of the following are able to be appointed Bushwalking Tracked SP: Adult Supporters, Adult Leaders, Rover Scouts, Venturer Scouts

There is no independent training course currently provided for Bushwalking Tracked SP. It is issued for participants at Scouting Adventure.

Completion of the following On Demand Modules:
  1. SA E NAVIGATE – Elementary Navigation
  2. SA NAVIGATE – Navigation Skills
  3. SA COMM - Operate Communication Systems
  4. SA BUSHPLAN – Bushwalking Skills
  5. SA IMPACT – Minimal Environmental Impact Practices
  6. SA WEATHER – Interpreting Weather
(Note: Adult Leaders may have already completed these On Demand modules as part of their Wood Badge training pathway).

Once you have completed the above modules, complete the following forms and return to aa.pathways@scoutsqld.com.au
  1. Bushwalking Tracked SP - Knowledge Capture Sheet
  2. Bushwalking Activity Capture sheet outlining a walk of at least 5km on a Grade 3 track
