Volunteer Grants 2026

Expressions of Interest (EOI) are now open by invitation from your Federal MP’s office.

Eligible not-for-profit community organisations can apply for between $1,000 - $5,000 to support Volunteer expenses.

There are two categories for Volunteer Grants which reflect areas of high demand for volunteer organisations:

  1. Category 1: for communications and IT items (such as laptops, phones, payment devices and software) and paying for insurance premiums (2027 Scouts Qld Insurance Invoice).
  2. Category 2: for items and services that support youth through volunteer-run activities, including: training, equipment and furniture.

The EOI process is the same as all grant applications (do not submit without approval to do so):

  1. Plan your project and receive quotes to ensure accurate application costings.
  2. Ensure your Finance and Property Returns are up to date.
  3. Seek approval from your Region Commissioner and District Commissioner – email them and cc the Grants Coordinator outlining your project details. Include quotes or a spreadsheet of group training requirements.
  4. If approved to proceed, fill in the EOI form from your Federal MP. Do not sign this form.
  5. The Scouts Qld Grants Coordinator will request the approval and signature of the Chief Commissioner. Advice will be given regarding submission to the Federal MP.

If your EOI progresses to an application you will be notified by your Federal MP via email. Contact the Grants Coordinator: grants@scoutsqld.com.au for assistance with the online application process.

Please remember all grant applications by Scouts Queensland Formations must be submitted through the Grants Coordinator, Belinda Anderson on: grants@scoutsqld.com.au or call 07 3721 5734.
