Adding a Shared Mailbox to your Mobile Device

Adding a Shared Mailbox to your Mobile Device

Please note the below steps are for the Outlook Mobile Application which is available on iOS and Android in the App/Play store free from Microsoft, due to the nature of how a shared mailbox function setup via the Outlook app is the only supported setup method.

Adding a Shared Mailbox

If you have not added your main Scouts QLD email account please complete this first before added the shared mailbox.

Open the Outlook application on your mobile device and click on the 3 Horizontal lines to access the menu/mailbox list

If you are using an iOS device, you can access the settings by clicking on the home menu - which is accessed by the icon that looks like a house

Access the settings menu which is a Gear/Cog

On the next screen select Add Account
The Add a shared mailbox

If prompted, select the account you want to log in with (this should always be membernumber@scoutsqld.com.au)

At the next screen type in the email address of your shared mailbox (eg scouts@group.scoutsqld.com.au) then tap continue

The next screen should now show your shared mailbox in the accounts list

You can access your new mailbox from the menu (3 horizontal lines), the list of mailboxes appears on the left hand side
