Square - Point of Sale (POS)

What is Square?
Square is a mobile point of sale device, which allows a Formation to accept card payments anywhere.

It is only recently that Square has supported Associations such as Scouts Qld.

Why would I want to use Square?
Square allows you to process payments for your local fundraising events without the need to rely upon cash e.g. Bunnings BBQ’s.

How much does it cost?
There is no fixed monthly cost, but there are transaction costs. Please refer the link below explaining the costs and other Square Frequently asked questions:

Sign up with an Incorporated Association Entity | Square Support Center - AU (squareup.com)

You can purchase the Square device from several retailers for a relatively low cost.

How do we set up for the Formation?
When you are signing up for Square you will need to use the Scout Association of Australia, Queensland Branch Inc ABN 67 019 153 391.
