Support for using Xero

Support for using Xero

Xero provides free, unlimited online support 24/7 through Xero Central and email assistance.

Getting Started with Support
The first step for any Xero-related help is the   ?   button at the top right-hand corner of the screen. You can see help articles related to the section of Xero you are in, or type your own query.

The next step is Xero Central, which offers a wide range of support articles, online learning resources, and community discussions where you can ask questions and share tips with other users. You can search for specific topics such as payroll, invoicing, bank reconciliation, or reporting to find step-by-step guidance.

If you cannot find the answer in Xero Central, you can raise a support case by clicking the “Get in Touch” button at the bottom of any support article. You can provide your email and phone number, and Xero can contact you at a preferred time. Note that Xero does not offer inbound phone support, and any third-party phone numbers claiming to be official support are scams.

Access tutorials, webinars, and courses to improve your skills and understand Xero features more deeply.

Troubleshooting Access Issues
If you experience login problems or suspect an outage, you can check Xero’s service status via platforms like Downdetector to see if there are ongoing issues affecting multiple users. For urgent payroll or accounting tasks, it’s recommended to plan around potential downtime and contact support promptly.

The finance team at State Office can also provide assistance, and there will be other users and Treasurers who will be able to help with Scouting specific queries.
