To reset your Microsoft 365 password, you first need to have logged in once and have set up authentication on your account.
You will need to have your smart device that has your authentication set up on it to proceed.
You can reset your Microsoft 365 password from the sign in screen. you can reach it via the MSOffice365 link on the Members Home site or the direct link: https://portal.office.com/Home. Enter your email address then click Next, then click "Forgot my password".
On the next page you will need to enter the characters shown in the pictures or click on the audio option and enter the words in the audio.
The email or username section should fill in automatically. If it does not, enter your member number address.
You will now be given two options to authenticate. If you select Approve a notification on my authenticator app and click Send Notification you will be shown a number.
When you receive the notification on your phone, open the authenticator app and enter the number when prompted.
If you select "Enter a code from my authenticator app" you will see a text box that says, "Enter your verification code".
In the authenticator app on your smart device, tap the Scouts Queensland account with your member number address and you will be shown a One-Time password code.
Enter that code into the text box on your computer.
When you have verified your identity via either of the two methods, you will then be prompted to create your new password.
Your new password needs to be at least eight (8) characters long and contain at least three (3) of the following:
- Lowercase letters
- Uppercase letters
- Numbers
- Symbols
Your password must also not contain your member number or any common words or phrases (Password123! will not be allowed).
When you click Finish, you have reset your password and can return to the sign in screen to login to your account.
