View Calendar in Campsite Booking System
Introduction
It
is vital that those involved with the day-to-day operation of a campsite
understand who has booked, when they’re due, how many people are coming and
which precinct they are booking into.
The
Queensland Branch utilizes a third part booking system called CheckFront. The following
instruction relates to accessing the booking calendar within the CheckFront System
Available Calendar Views
When first logging
into the CheckFront System you will be first taken to the Dashboard page. This
is a customizable page, so how it will appear may vary slightly from campsite
to campsite, however the top menu structure will remain the same.
On the left-hand-side
of the menu, will be the “Calendar” sub-menu
In the
current system there are three option, which we will go into more detail in the
following sections
Booking Calendar View
The Booking
Calendar View, shows the current booking in more of a traditional calendar style.
The default is the view by month, which is shown below:
But there is
also an option to switch between month, Week, 7 Days and Day view
Examples of the different views
are shown below:
Week View:
7 Day View:
Day View:
You can also
navigate different time periods
The filter
categories can be very useful to display whatever information you are looking
for
Useful
filters include (but not limited to):
- Category – to switch between Scouts/Community/Public or other
types of booking
- Status, to switch between bookings that have a select booking
status i.e.
- Paid – a booking that has
been paid in full and site secured
- Deposit – deposit paid,
but details need confirmation and payment needs to be finalized
- Reserve – No payment made,
but site confirmed; details need confirmation and payment needs to be finalized
- Follow-up – Used to prompt
to confirm some detail of the booking
To use a
filter, simply select the drop-down box and click on the check box on the items
you want to display
In the calendar
view, often there will be more bookings than can be displayed in the available space.
That will look like the following:
To
bring up the full list of bookings on a particular day simple clock within the calendar
square for that date. This will bring up a list, showing the summary booking
information for that date.
From
the summary view, to bring up an individual booking click on the booking
confirmation number.
Inventory Calendar View
The view is typically not used, but will show a list of available inventory items sorted by category.
